You can join Casablanca expert Chet Davis in Northern California in May 2010. 

Chet will provide you with an opportunity to be coached in intermediate/advanced

Casablanca skills and techniques! 

Our workshop will be in the North San Francisco Bay (city of San Pablo) -  a relatively central location to Northern Californians as well as a spot with reasonable air fares from much of the rest of the United States (fly into either SFO or OAK airports).

You bring your Casablanca unit and a monitor.  Chet will supply the class footage as AVI files on DVD for use with Disk Transfer.  You load the footage onto your Casablanca editor and follow along with Chet as he leads you through two days worth of exercises to help raise you on the ladder of video enlightenment.

Registration for this two-day hands-on training is just $199.00 per person. The registration fee includes workshop footage on DVD, expert instruction & hands-on training, lunch both days... and you'll receive a DVD set of the entire workshop for you to review back in your edit studio! This year I will provide your set of workshop DVDs right at the end of our workshop! (pre-produced for expedient delivery)

* Your Casablanca unit must have Smart Edit 8, SE9  or Bogart SE OS 2 or OS3 active as well as the following 3 add-on software products installed and activated (not in Demo Mode) Disk Transfer, PowerKey and DVD Arabesk 4.

New Option: If the absence of  Disk Transfer (or the expense of purchasing it)  is the obstacle keeping you from registering for this work -  I have a remedy. I am happy to offer to send you a miniDV tape of the workshop footage that would need to be loaded in & split prior to the workshop. This makes sense if Disk Transfer is not something you see a big need for apart from this workshop. Contact me directly via email (chet@chetdavis.com) once you have registered to take advantage of this option.

Other software that must be active or installed and in the 'demo' mode includes: Candy Factory, Motion 3D (pack 1).  You will be provided with the Disk Transfer DVD upon set-up on Wednesday morning. We will load the workshop footage as part of our first day activities.

The Casablanca Northern California 2010 Hands-on Workshop host - Gary McNally of McNally's Plug and Play - will be available for software purchase and for those interested in hardware upgrades, etc.

NOTE: With the expected release of new Operating Systems Smart Edit 9/Bogart OS3, I will be teaching how to get the most from the new benefits of this software in this workshop!

Registration for this hands-on workshop is $199.00 The registration fee includes workshop footage on DVD, expert instruction and hands-on training and lunch both days.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited to the first 18 participants.

Our host hotel will be the Holida Inn Express & Suites in San Pablo, California.

This hotel is conveniently located right off Highway I-80 in the North Bay with easy access for all the SF Bay Area and the Sacramento/Central Valley.

We have arranged for a event room rate of $99. per room, per night.
